From Karachi streets to a bedroom studio

Talha Anjum was born on 3 October 1995 in Karachi, the cultural and economic heartbeat of Pakistan. He studied at Army Public School, Saddar, where he met Talhah Yunus  a friendship that would go on to reshape the entire Pakistani music landscape. The two bonded over rap around the age of sixteen, drawn into hip-hop through Western icons like Eminem, Nas, and Jay-Z.

Before the fame, though, came rejection. A school talent-show organizer reportedly dismissed the duo’s attempt to perform rap, telling them it had no place at their school. In 2023, Talha released his debut solo album, Open Letter, a 15-song project leaning into introspective, late-night storytelling with tracks like “Downers at Dusk.” The album earned him two nominations at the 23rd Lux Style Awards.

In 2024, he doubled down with My Terrible Mind, released with global hip-hop label Mass Appeal — the same label behind icons like Nas. In December 2024, Talha made his acting and producing debut with Kattar Karachi, a crime drama set in the Karachi underworld, co-starring Kinza Hashmi and Imran Ashraf, and co-produced with Dilawar Baloch. The project began as a visual companion to My Terrible Mind before evolving into a full theatrical release via Hum Films.
